About Bradley Hagstrom
I join IVE looking forward to a great year with our students, the caring and wise 5th grade team, and the respected IVE community. While I am new to Issaquah and Washington, I arrive prepared by a journey of teaching more than 20 years in Michigan, Colorado, California, South America, and Eastern Europe. My experience is split evenly between between secondary and elementary teaching, and I have taught courses ranging from Geography and Spoken Word Poetry, K-12 ESL and Creative Writing, Computer Graphic Design & Bilingual Mathematics, to Social Studies and the awesome age group to which I now return: 5th Grade.
There are so many things I love to do. If a short list or favorites were written on handfuls of jacks, and tossed into the air, they might fall out like this: kayak on a lake in June; help my son climb the jungle gym and marvel in his huge grin when he luges down; drink coffee in afternoon sun with a notebook, compose a poem; ride my mountain bike in a wood's trail; chat with a friend in England about a passage or an image on the Web; cook something totally new and taste it the whole way through; soccer game at the park; have a picnic with brats and a sparkly with friends, my wife, my daughter, my son...and reading a story with yours.
I look very forward to meeting all of you, and especially to what I'll learn to know of you. I'm sure that we'll have a great year. 'Til soon!
